The General Secretary of the Presidency of the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Ambassador George Yennimatas has made a telephone call last night (17 February) to H.E. Kerim Uras, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Athens, and received information on the details of the yesterday’s terrorist attack in Ankara
Indicating that he was calling on behalf of H.E. Prokopis Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic, he transmitted the condolences and solidarity feelings to H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, and expressed that he also shared the same sentiments.
He expressed that the terrorist attack in Ankara was a heinous act and he was sure that the perpetrators will account to the justice sooner or later and wished them arrested as soon as possible.
H.E. Alexis Tsipras, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, also called last night H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, and expressed his condolences on behalf of his Government and the people Greece.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic also published a twitter message last night on the terrorist attack in Ankara. The text of the message is as follows: "We grieve with our neighbours the victims of‪#‎Ankara‬ blast. We condemn, in the strongest possible terms, this heinous terrorist attack."
